What does a tank inspection include?

The first step is for one of our specialist engineers to attend your site to discuss your requirements and any problems that you may already be experiencing. They’ll then assess your fuel storage system and recommend the most cost-effective inspection method for your tank’s needs.

This approach means that you receive the in-depth inspection and reassurance that you need with minimal disruption.

The testing methods we can perform include:

• OFTEC inspections – ideal for smaller tanks, such as domestic or low-capacity commercial models
• Pressure tests – used in above and below-ground tanks
• NDT – non-destructive testing is a thorough and invasive method that checks factors like material thicknesses and weld integrity without damaging your tank
• EMMUA 159 – one of the most in-depth and comprehensive inspections, designed for larger tanks and hazardous sites
• Gauge & meter tests – testing of your meters and gauges to ensure they’re providing accurate readings

Once your inspection is complete, you’ll receive a comprehensive report containing the details of all checks performed, areas of concern and any recommended next steps.
