Speedy Fuels switches rural estate over to renewable, sustainable HVO!

Speedy Fuels recently took on a challenge from the owner of a rural estate, who has moved back into the property and was in need of an emergency delivery just in time for Halloween!

Dr. Acula, apparently a healthcare professional who keeps irregular hours, needed us to attend his manor at a time that suited him – overnight. Our 24/7 emergency delivery service made it possible to not only deliver when he needed it, but also ensured that he wasn’t without essential fuel over Halloween.

During the order, Dr. Acula asked for “diesel the colour of blood”  – we advised that there are more sustainable and renewable alternatives such as HVO. After hearing about the net carbon reduction and long storage lifespan of HVO, he decided to make the switch!

He was also pleased to learn that we’ve assigned him a dedicated account manager for all of his fuel needs – we’re sure he was only joking about our agent needing to swear a “blood oath of eternal fealty”…

Access to the stately home required navigating a tight, winding path up the side of a mountain – luckily our delivery fleet includes vehicles of all sizes, so one of our smaller tankers was perfect for the job.

As you can see from the pictures taken onsite, the manor is currently undergoing some serious renovations. Oddly, we thought we’d taken some photos of Dr. Acula himself too, but something must be wrong with our camera as he’s not in any of them…

He did give us a quick quote before he disappeared into the darkness, around the same time a flurry of bats crowded around the tanker:

“When you’ve been around for as long as I have, safeguarding the future grows ever more important. I’m pleased to have switched my lair over to renewable HVO, reducing my net carbon footprint – you see, I don’t like to leave a trace of where I’ve been…”

A local resident added: “Where the hell did that castle come from, that wasn’t here yesterday?”
